Two European delivery services are listed as alternatives to DoorDash and Uber Eats, and they cover different countries. Just Eat Takeaway.com describes itself as an online food delivery marketplace connecting consumers with 342,000 partners across 14 countries, mostly restaurants. It lists markets such as Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, Italy and Poland. Glovo says it delivers restaurant food, groceries and items from shops, pharmacies and florists. Its home page lists countries such as Spain, Portugal, Romania and Croatia.

Because their maps differ, check first which of the two operates in your city. Then compare the delivery fee, service fee and minimum order shown at checkout, whether the restaurants near you are local independents, and what each privacy policy says about where your data is stored. Both sites also have sign-up pages for couriers and for businesses, which show how each service works with the people who deliver and cook.
